Moon Boots
Live from Anjunadeep x Printworks London 2019 (Official HD Set)
Printworks London, with its industrial cathedral arches, demands a certain scale, a narrative worth of its cavernous space. Moon Boots, for the Anjunadeep takeover, delivered exactly that: a lush, disco-tinged house journey that felt both epic and intimately joyful. The vibe was one of collective elevation, beams of light cutting through the haze as thousands moved as one to those undeniable four-on-the-floor grooves. Technically, it's a masterclass in melodic house, gliding at a steady 125 BPM average and frequently visiting the uplifting, major-key territories of 12A and 10B. The energy distribution is tellingly smooth: a dominant, warm low-end (0.62 avg) for the basslines, restrained mids (0.27) that let the melodies breathe, and well-timed high-end (0.10) for the string flourishes and vocal peaks. His transitions are long, harmonic, and deeply satisfying, building a continuous wave of emotion.
The crate digging is superb, blending originals with inspired edits. His own 'Juanita (feat. Kaleena Zanders)' is a sun-drenched disco-house anthem. Opening with a sample of 'Grand Funk Railroad - I'm Your Captain' is a bold, cinematic move. 'LOST SCRIPTS - Mozart' is a quirky, classical-infused loop that works improbably well. 'KC Lights - Sol' provides a moment of pure, driving deep house energy.
'5ALVO - Wrightwood' and 'Laera - Solitaire' are deeper, more introspective cuts that showcase his range. The journey begins with that classic rock sample, swelling into the set, builds to an undeniable peak with the vocal euphoria of 'Juanita' or 'Power', and closes with the triumphant, rolling bassline of his own 'Power (feat. Black Gatsby)'. A full tracklist that makes a warehouse feel like home.
